About Imara Beauty

Imara Beauty is an up-and-coming beauty brand for the women of Africa. Imara, which means “strong” in Swahili, is at the core of our brand as we aim to empower women to be strong, confident and beautiful.

Imara Beauty is different from the traditional beauty brand; all of its products are sold through its trained beauty consultants. Its mission is to empower its consultants to become successful entrepreneurs.

Consultant Role and Responsibilities

  • Customers will reach out to you based on the area you are serving
    • If there is no dedicated consultant for a specific area, a customer may reach out to any consultant to place their order
  • When a customer calls to place an order, please open the Imara Beauty Shop page on your phone or computer and walk them through the ordering process (full details can be found in the section titled “Order Placement Instructions” below)
  • While placing the order you will be able to see the quantity of the product that is in stock.  If the item is on backorder, please notify the customer that it may take 1-2 weeks for the product to be delivered
  • At checkout, please make sure to select your Consultant ID number correctly.  This field is used to calculate your monthly commission
  • You will also ask the customer for their delivery address and provide them with the M-Pesa number to process the payment
  • Once the payment has been received, the liquid lipstick will be delivered to the customer within 1-2 days if the item is in stock

Commission Structure

Bronze Tier – 10% of sales (0 ­– 50,000 KSh)
Silver Tier – 20% of sales (50,001 – 100,000KSh)
Gold Tier – 30% of sales (100,001+ KSh)
*Commission will be paid out monthly

*Actual colors may vary.  Individual monitors generate color in various ways. Depending on your monitor’s settings, colors may appear warmer, cooler, darker or brighter, thereby distorting the actual color of the liquid lipstick.

Order Placement Instructions

  1. Go to our shop webpage: http://imarabeauty.com/shop/
  2. Click on the “Select Options” button for the Liquid Velvet Lipstick
  3. Here you can select the name of the lipstick the customer would like.  If they would like to order more than one, you can update the quantity and then click on the “Add to Cart” button
  4. If they would like to purchase multiple lipsticks you can select the name of the lipsticks using the dropdown and click on the one they want and then click on the “Add to Cart” button and then click on the dropdown again to select the name of the next lipstick and repeat the process
  5. Once the items have been added to the cart, click on the “View Cart” button
  6. This will open the cart page.  Here you can review to make sure all of the items that the customer would like to order are correct.  Once you review, you can click on the “Proceed to Checkout” button
  7. Here you will need to fill out the customer’s information, including selecting your consultant ID number and inputting how the customer heard about Imara Beauty
  8. Lastly, the customer will need to make the payment using M-Pesa.  Once they make the payment, the “Type Ref ID” will need to be added before clicking the “Place Order” button
  9. After the order has been placed, I will receive an email with all the details.  We will then need to verify that the payment has gone through before we can fulfill the order
